Sealing Reality — IP67 Only When It's Mated
The 2823064-1 carries Dust Tight and Waterproof features, which means it keeps the receptacle cavity clean and dry when installed. But that seal is only effective when the cap is fully seated and the O-ring or gasket interface is engaged — an IP67 rating on the mated connector pair doesn't extend to a cap that's loose or cross-threaded. Cap the open half between shifts to keep washdown chemistry out of the contact area.
Fit Check — M12 Receptacle Compatibility
This cap is designed for use with M12 receptacles. It threads onto the standard M12 x 1.0 coupling nut interface, covering the female contacts and sealing the panel opening. It does not fit M8 or other circular connector shell sizes — the M12 shell size is non-negotiable.
