6-position vertical header for terminal block systems
The 282825-6 is a 6-position, single-level shrouded header from TE's Buchanan series, designed to mate with corresponding 5.08 mm pitch terminal block plugs. The vertical through-hole orientation keeps the pin row perpendicular to the PCB, which suits applications where the wire entry is above the board rather than along its edge. The 5.08 mm pitch gives enough clearance between pins for 14–22 AWG wire terminations on the mating plug side.

Side-stacking and board layout
The side-stacking feature lets multiple headers sit side by side on the same pitch without gaps, which is useful when you need more than 6 positions in a single row — just place two 282825-6 units adjacent on the board. The insulation height of 0.472" (12.00 mm) and contact tail length of 0.138" (3.50 mm) define the z-height above the PCB and the solder-joint depth through the board.
