The 282828-4 is a 4-position vertical header from the TE Buchanan series, with a 0.400" (10.16 mm) pitch — the widest spacing in the Buchanan header range, giving you generous clearance between adjacent terminal blocks on the rail. Compared to the 5.00 mm pitch Buchanan headers (282822-8, 8 positions), the 282828-4 doubles the pitch to 10.16 mm and doubles the voltage rating to 600 V, while matching the 15 A current. The 4-side shrouding on the 282828-4 offers more pin protection than the 2-side shrouding on the 282822-8. If your design needs fewer positions at the same pitch and voltage, the 282828-4 at 4 positions is the only 10.16 mm pitch option in the series — the 282822 and 282825 sub-series are all 5.00 mm or 5.08 mm pitch.
