Two-Position PCB Terminal Block for Control Wiring
The 282834-2: It is designed for through-hole mounting with a horizontal wire entry orientation relative to the board. The green polyamide (PA66) housing carries two rising cage clamp terminals that accept wire from 16 to 30 AWG. Each position is rated for 10 A at 150 V, making it suitable for control signals, sensor wiring, and low-power distribution on a PCB.
Termination and Torque
The rising cage clamp mechanism secures the wire against a brass conductor, with the clamp itself plated in nickel. The M1.6 screw is driven to a specified torque of 0.2 Nm (1.7 Lb-In) — enough to hold a solid or stranded conductor without crushing it. The screw and clamp materials are steel and brass respectively, both plated for corrosion resistance. This is a field-proven termination for panel wiring where a ring lug under a screw is the standard.
