The rising cage clamp captures the stripped wire between a nickel-plated brass clamp and a stainless steel screw. The clamp rises as the screw is tightened, pulling the wire against the current bar. This gives a gas-tight connection that handles the 10 A rating without loosening under thermal cycling. The 16-30 AWG range covers solid and stranded wire for control panel and instrumentation wiring.
