The rising cage clamp captures the stripped wire against a brass-nickel plated clamp plate, driven by an M3 screw. The specified torque of 0.68 Nm (6 Lb-In) is enough to pull the clamp tight without stripping the threads in the PA66 housing. Accepts 16 to 30 AWG.
Ganging and Panel Layout
The interlocking side feature lets you snap multiple 282836-5 blocks together to form a longer strip without a separate end barrier or jumper. For a 10-position run, two 5-position blocks interlock side-by-side on the same pitch — no gap in the terminal spacing. The green housing is a standard colour for ground or chassis terminals in European-style panels, but the block itself is uncommitted; use it for any potential in the circuit.
