6-Position, 5.00 mm Pitch PCB Terminal Block for Power Distribution
The TE Connectivity Buchanan 282836-6 is a 6-position, single-level PCB terminal block designed for power wiring in control panels, industrial equipment, and building automation. Each position is rated 13.5 A, which means this block handles motor starter feeds, solenoid valve banks, or 24 VDC distribution rails — not signal-level wiring. The side-entry wire orientation (horizontal with board) suits enclosures where wire access from above is blocked by a cover or adjacent component.
Screw Rising Cage Clamp — Field-Serviceable Termination
Wire termination uses a screw-driven rising cage clamp (brass, nickel-plated) that pulls the clamp up against the conductor — no ferrule required for stranded wire, though ferrules improve consistency in production. The M3 screw has a specified torque of 0.68 Nm (6 Lb-In); over-torquing strips the threads in the PA66 housing, under-torquing leaves a high-resistance joint that heats under load. Accepts 16-30 AWG — the 16 AWG end carries the full 13.5 A without exceeding the temperature rise limit of the nylon 6/6 housing.
Side Interlocking for Multi-Level Ganging
The interlocking (side) feature lets you snap multiple 282836-6 blocks together side-by-side without a separate jumper bar — the integral dovetail keys align the blocks and share the common rail. For a 12-circuit distribution point, two 6-position blocks interlock on the same PCB footprint row.
