Terminal block for PCB power distribution
The 10.00 mm pitch spaces the two positions wide enough to handle 600 V and 17.5 A per circuit without tracking between adjacent terminals — this is a power block, not a signal-level interconnect. The green housing follows the panel convention for ground/earth identification, though the block itself is not limited to that function. The M3 screw is torqued to 0.79 Nm (7.0 Lb-In) to pull the stripped conductor into the brass cage, which is nickel-plated to resist corrosion under the clamping force.
Wire range is 12-30 AWG — the 12 AWG end handles the full 17.5 A without overheating; the 30 AWG end covers signal-level control wiring. The rising cage clamp pulls the conductor into the cage as the screw tightens, which keeps the wire strands contained and prevents cold flow over time. The side-entry orientation (horizontal with board) means the wires run parallel to the PCB surface, useful when vertical clearance above the board is tight. The interlocking side feature lets multiple 282842-2 blocks be ganged together side-by-side for multi-circuit distribution without gaps between housings.
