17.5 A at 5 mm pitch — power-level terminal block
The 282900-2 is a 2-position, single-level terminal block from the TE Buchanan series, rated 17.5 A at 300 V. The rising cage clamp accepts 12 to 30 AWG wire — a range that covers both main power feeds and smaller control wiring in the same block. The M3 screw torque spec is 0.79 Nm (7.0 Lb-In); hitting that clamp force keeps the connection stable under thermal cycling.
Interlocking side and rear — gang multiple blocks
The housing has interlocking features on the rear and side, so you can snap multiple 2-position blocks together to build a larger terminal strip without a custom part number. Contacts are brass with tin plating, and the clamp and screw are brass with nickel plating — standard for this class of block, adequate for the rated current and typical field-service life.
