What This Terminal Block Is
It accepts 12-30 AWG wire and secures it with an M3 screw torqued to 0.79 Nm (7.0 Lb-In), giving a reliable gas-tight connection on stranded or solid wire. The 0.200" (5.08mm) pitch matches the standard Buchanan footprint for two-circuit power or signal termination on a PCB.
Rated for Power Duty
Rated 17.5 A at 300 V, this block handles motor control, power supply, and lighting circuits. The 17.5 A per position is the continuous rating at the terminal.
Termination and Orientation
The screw rising cage clamp pulls the wire into a brass nickel-plated clamp, giving a vibration-resistant termination without crimp tools.
Against the 282884-2 (also 2 positions, 0.197" pitch, 13.5 A), the 282905-2 carries a higher 17.5 A rating and a wider 12-30 AWG wire range versus 16-30 AWG. The 282885-2 matches the 0.200" pitch and 12-30 AWG acceptance but is also rated 13.5 A. So the 282905-2 is the higher-current choice in the same footprint class — useful when the circuit needs the full 17.5 A headroom without moving to a larger pitch block.
