9-Position Buchanan Terminal Block for PCB Mount
It uses a rising cage clamp wire termination under an M3 screw, rated at 13.5 A and 300 V. Green polyamide (PA66) housing, RoHS compliant. The rising cage clamp pulls the wire against a current bar — no wire lug or ferrule required for solid or stranded 16-30 AWG. Torque the M3 screw to 0.68 Nm (6 Lb-In) for the rated connection. The clamp and screw are brass with nickel plating; the contact bar is brass with tin plating. Side interlocking features let you snap multiple 284093-9 blocks together to form a multi-position assembly without a separate jumper bar. The vertical wire entry (top entry) keeps the wiring axis perpendicular to the PCB, which simplifies routing in shallow enclosures.
Board Layout and Pitch
The 5.00 mm pitch (0.197") sets the hole spacing for the 9 positions. Each position requires a through-hole solder pad; the overall footprint spans 9 × 5.00 mm from center of first to center of last hole.
