Buchanan 284094-6 — 6-Position PCB Screw Terminal Block
The 5.08 mm pitch gives enough spacing for 300 V working voltage and 13.5 A per position without crowding adjacent traces — a common choice for industrial power supplies, motor drives, and HVAC controller boards where a screw-terminated field connection is preferred over a crimp connector. The rising cage clamp termination accepts wire from 16 AWG down to 30 AWG, with the M3 screw torqued to 0.68 Nm (6 Lb-In) to secure the conductor. The clamp plate is brass with nickel plating, and the contact surface is tin-plated brass — adequate for the current rating in dry indoor environments. Housing is green polyamide PA66 (Nylon 6/6). The single-level vertical orientation means wires enter from the top, perpendicular to the board surface.
Side Interlocking for Multi-Position Assemblies
The side interlocking feature lets you snap multiple 284094-6 blocks together into a wider terminal strip without a separate jumper bar. Each 6-position block remains a separate PCB footprint, but the interlocking keys align the blocks mechanically so the wire entries stay in a continuous row. This is useful when the circuit count exceeds 6 positions and you want to keep the same pitch and termination style across the assembly.
