7-position 3.81mm pitch side-entry block
The 284392-7: This is a 7-position, single-level terminal block from the TE Buchanan series, with a 0.150" (3.81mm) pitch and side-entry wire orientation that keeps the screw axis parallel to the PCB. Rated 12 A at 300 V, it accepts 14-30 AWG wire through a screw-rising cage clamp — the M3 screw torque spec is 0.25 Nm (2.2 Lb-In). The green polyamide (PA66) housing includes side interlocking features, so multiple blocks can be ganged into a longer strip without extra brackets.
Clamp and contact construction
Both the clamp and screw are brass with nickel plating; the contact material is brass with tin plating — a combination that resists corrosion in indoor equipment enclosures. The rising cage clamp lifts to trap the wire against the contact, providing a gas-tight connection that doesn't require a ferrule.
