8-Position PCB Terminal Block, 3.81 mm Pitch, Side Entry
It uses a screw-rising cage clamp termination — the M3 screw (0.25 Nm torque spec) drives a brass clamp that pulls the wire against the current bar, giving a gas-tight connection on solid or stranded wire from 14 to 30 AWG. The green PA66 housing (UL94 V-0 rated by material class) and the side-entry wire orientation — horizontal with the board — suit it for control cabinets, HVAC panels, and industrial power distribution where the wiring enters parallel to the PCB. The interlocking side feature lets multiple 284392-8 blocks snap together side-by-side to build a continuous terminal strip without extra hardware.
12 A per Circuit — Sized for Power, Not Signal
The contact material is brass with tin plating, which is standard for stationary screw-clamp terminations where mating-cycle count is low (field wiring, not repeated disconnect). The rising cage clamp grips the conductor across its full cross-section, so the 12 A rating holds up to the full wire temperature rating as long as the ambient stays within the PA66 operating range.
