It uses a screw-actuated rising cage clamp to terminate wires from 12 AWG down to 30 AWG — solid or stranded — directly to the board. The interlocking side feature lets you snap multiple blocks together side-by-side to build a multi-pole distribution point without a separate jumper bar. The M3 screw is torqued to 0.25 Nm (2.2 Lb-In) — enough to hold a 12 AWG conductor without crushing it.
Through-hole solder pins hold the block to the PCB. The wire entry is vertical with the board — top-entry, so the wires come in perpendicular to the PCB surface. The rising cage clamp lifts when the screw is turned, opening the wire entry; tightening the screw pulls the clamp down onto the conductor. Brass contacts with tin plating handle the 12 A rating, and the nickel-plated brass screw and clamp resist corrosion in industrial atmospheres.
