Wire-to-board plug for 3.5mm pitch headers
The 284506-9 is a 9-position plug from the TE Buchanan series, designed as the female socket half for a 3.50mm pitch terminal block system. It terminates stranded or solid wire from 14-30 AWG via a rising cage clamp, and mates with the corresponding 3.5mm pin headers.
Screw-clamp termination and wire range
The rising cage clamp accepts 14-30 AWG (0.05-2 mm²) solid or stranded wire, with a strip length of 5-6 mm. The screw torque is specified at 0.31 Nm (2.7 Lb-In) — over-torquing can strip the M2 screw or deform the conductor.
