6-Position 3.81mm Pitch Wire-Entry Plug
The TE Buchanan 284507-6 is a 6-position plug with female sockets on 0.150" (3.81mm) pitch, terminated via a screw-rising cage clamp. It mates with the corresponding 3.81mm pitch PCB header (e.g., 284508-6 series) for a wire-to-board connection. Rated 11 A at 300 V per UL, this plug handles signal and moderate power in a single-level, 180° wire-entry configuration.
The screw-rising cage clamp accepts 14-30 AWG (0.05-2mm²) wire with a strip length of 5-6mm. The M2 screw torque spec is 0.31 Nm (2.7 Lb-In) — over-tightening can damage the clamp or conductor. Phosphor bronze contacts with tin mating finish provide reliable electrical connection for repeated field terminations.
