This eliminates the need for crimp tooling for each terminal — a single IDC press operation terminates all four positions simultaneously. The wire gauge range is 22-24 AWG discrete, not ribbon cable, so each wire is individually routed and terminated.
Mounting and Orientation — Free-Hanging Right-Angle
The receptacle is free-hanging (in-line) with a right-angle orientation relative to the wire exit. This means the cable exits at 90° to the mating face, which is useful when the wire bundle needs to run parallel to the PCB surface rather than straight out.
