The TE Connectivity DuoPlug 284930-6 is a 6-position single-row IDC receptacle designed for wire-to-board applications. It terminates 22-24 AWG discrete wire via insulation displacement, eliminating the need for crimp tooling on the wire side. The free-hanging housing carries a 'Mates to PCB' feature, confirming this is the wire-side half of a DuoPlug wire-to-board system.
This speeds harness assembly but demands the wire gauge stay within the rated range — 24 AWG is the smallest that reliably displaces insulation, and 22 AWG is the largest that fits the slot without damaging the conductor.
