0.375" Pitch, 10-Circuit Barrier Block Rated 25 A
The TE Connectivity 3-1437653-8 is a 10-circuit barrier strip from the Buchanan #6 series, terminated with screws on top and PC pins on the bottom for through-hole board mounting. The 0.375" (9.53 mm) pitch gives each terminal enough physical spacing to handle the 25 A rating without excessive heat buildup between adjacent circuits, making this a power distribution block rather than a signal-level terminal. The three-wall barrier design isolates each position from its neighbors, reducing the chance of a stray strand bridging two circuits during wiring. Wire acceptance from 12 AWG down to 22 AWG covers both the heavy feed conductors and the smaller branch-circuit wiring typical in panel builds. The steel, stainless terminal screws hold up under repeated torquing without galling the threads.
Board Layout and Wiring Fit
The 0.375" pitch means the ten PC pins on 9.53 mm centers define the board footprint. The through-hole mounting requires drilled and plated holes matching the pin diameter, with enough keep-out between rows to clear the screw terminals above the board. On the wiring side, the screw-clamp top termination accepts solid or stranded wire in the 12-22 AWG range. The three-wall barrier reduces the risk of a stripped conductor touching an adjacent terminal, which is a real concern when multiple wires share a common trough in a panel.
