3-Position IDC Receptacle for Discrete Wire Harnesses
The TE DuoPlug 3-1534798-3 is a 3-position IDC receptacle designed for discrete 22-24 AWG wire, terminated by insulation displacement rather than crimping. The natural-colour housing mates directly to a PCB (the 'Mates to PCB' feature), so this is a wire-to-board interconnect: the IDC termination captures the wire insulation, the receptacle slides onto a matching pin header on the board.
The 22-24 AWG wire is pressed into the IDC slot; the contact's fork pierces the insulation and grips the conductor. That saves a crimp tool and a terminal inventory step — the wire is terminated directly into the receptacle body. The female blade socket contacts are tin-plated, adequate for moderate-current signal or low-power duty where repeated mate/unmate cycles aren't expected.
