5-Circuit Barrier Block for Power Distribution
The TE Connectivity 3-1546158-1 is a 5-circuit barrier strip from the #6, Buchanan series, designed for panel-mount power distribution where each circuit needs a dedicated screw termination. The 0.375" (9.53mm) pitch gives enough spacing between adjacent terminals for the 300V rating without crowding the wiring channel — you can land 12 AWG on one circuit and still have room to dress the next wire without shorting across the barrier.
25 A per Circuit — Sized for Branch-Circuit Loads
Rated 25 A per circuit, this barrier block carries the kind of current you expect on a lighting panel or a small motor branch circuit — not a signal line. The three-wall barrier (Tri) between each position provides the creepage path for the 300V rating while keeping adjacent wires physically separated, which matters when you're landing stranded conductors that could otherwise splay across the next terminal.
Accepts 12-22 AWG with Captive-Plate Screws
The wire range covers 12-22 AWG, so it handles the heavier-gauge power feeds (12 AWG) down to smaller control wiring (22 AWG) on the same block. That captive plate also spreads the clamping force evenly across the conductor, reducing the risk of cold flow on stranded wire.
Chassis or Through-Hole Mounting with Flange
Mounting is dual-mode: the block can be bolted directly to a chassis or panel via the integral flange, or the PC pin bottom termination can be soldered into a PCB for a through-hole board mount. The flange gives you the option to locate the block on the enclosure wall and run wires directly to the terminals without routing through a PCB — common in control cabinets where the barrier strip serves as the field-wiring interface.
UL94 V-0 Thermoplastic Insulation
The housing is molded from a thermoplastic rated UL94 V-0. For equipment inside an enclosure — industrial control panels, HVAC units, power distribution boxes — the V-0 rating is the standard requirement for any component that carries line voltage.
