30-Circuit Barrier Block for Panel-Mount Power Distribution
The TE Connectivity 3-1546306-0 is a 30-circuit Buchanan series barrier block designed for chassis or panel mounting where you need to land multiple power or signal circuits at a single termination point. Each of the 30 circuits is spaced at a 0.374" (9.50mm) pitch, giving enough room between terminals for field wiring with a standard screwdriver without crowding adjacent connections. Rated 20A per circuit at 300V, this block handles substantial power — think industrial control panels, HVAC equipment, or battery-bank interconnects where a single barrier strip replaces a row of individual terminal blocks. The dual-wall barrier design (2 Wall) between each circuit provides extra creepage and isolation, reducing the chance of accidental bridging during wiring. The block accepts wire from 12 AWG down to 22 AWG, so you can land heavy power feeds on the same strip as smaller control wires. Each circuit has two wire entries (60 total), allowing you to daisy-chain power from one terminal to the next or land both an incoming and outgoing conductor per circuit.
Mounting is via the integral flange — the block bolts directly to a chassis or panel, not a DIN rail. This is a permanent-installation part; once screwed down, it stays put. The closed bottom termination means the screw terminals are dead-end — wire inserts from the top and clamps against the current bar, with no pass-through or feed-through option on the bottom. Top termination uses steel screws with a nickel finish. The steel gives good thread strength for repeated tightening, and the nickel resists corrosion in humid cabinet environments. The 120°C upper limit also gives headroom above the 20A rating if the ambient temperature is moderate; derate per the manufacturer's curve if running near the ceiling.
