MTA-156 IDC Receptacle, 2-Position, 0.156" Pitch
The locking ramp fastening type secures the mate in vibration-prone environments, and the closed-end housing prevents stubbing during assembly. Typical applications include wire-to-board interconnects in appliances, lighting, and industrial controls where a reliable, mass-terminated IDC connection is needed.
Termination and Wiring
Termination is IDC — the cable is pressed into the slot, displacing insulation to make contact with the tin-plated socket. No crimp tool or stripping is required; a simple press tool seats the wire. The receptacle accepts 24 AWG discrete or ribbon cable, and the free-hanging (in-line) mount lets it float in the harness rather than anchor to a board.
