MTA-156 Receptacle, 2-Position IDC — Pitch First
The 0.156" (3.96mm) pitch is the first compatibility check — it mates with any standard MTA-156 header at the same pitch. The closed-end design blocks the last cavity, preventing mis-insertion at the wire stop.
IDC Termination — Wire and Tooling
This receptacle uses insulation displacement contacts sized for 22 AWG wire. The free-hanging (in-line) mount means the receptacle floats in the harness, not fixed to a panel or board.
Mates with any standard MTA-156 header at the same 0.156" (3.96mm) pitch — typically a straight or right-angle pin header with 0.045" square posts. The single-row, 2-position layout matches a 2-circuit BOM line. The red housing colour is a visual key for the closed-end variant; natural (white) open-end versions also exist in the series. No keying or polarisation beyond the closed-end wall — verify header orientation before specifying.
