MTA-100 IDC Receptacle for Discrete or Ribbon Cable
The 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch matches the standard MTA-100 header footprint, so the board layout is the same as any other member of this series. The red housing with a closed end and locking ramp gives positive retention against the mating header — the ramp locks audibly on insertion and holds under vibration.
The wire type is listed for discrete or ribbon cable, so this receptacle works on a discrete harness or a ribbon jumper. The 22 AWG wire gauge is the only size specified; the IDC slot geometry is tuned for that gauge, and forcing a different size risks an intermittent connection.
