IDC Termination and Wire Handling
The receptacle accepts 24 AWG wire in either discrete or ribbon-cable format. The Closed End feature blocks the through-hole on the last position, which acts as a wire stop during mass termination — the cable inserts to a positive end, not a visual guess. For a ribbon cable, the IDC contacts align to the standard 0.100" conductor spacing; for discrete wires, each position terminates independently.
For applications subject to vibration (industrial panels, appliance controls, automotive interior), the ramp provides a positive latch that resists back-out from cable tug or machine shake. The white housing is a visual key for wire-harness routing on the line.
