IDC plug for 9-conductor ribbon or discrete wire
The 3-641435-9: The closed-end slot gives a positive conductor stop — the wire butts against the back wall so every conductor seats at the same depth before the press. Tin contacts at 80.0µ" (2.03µm) thickness bite through the insulation reliably; the thick tin layer handles the cold-flow of the IDC slot without cracking. The plug mounts free-hanging or right-angle, which means it can exit a harness at a board edge or sit inline in a cable run.
Mass-terminate with an IDC press — the 18 AWG wire gauge is fixed for this variant; the insulation displacement tines are sized for 18 AWG only.
