0.156" Pitch IDC Plug for 22 AWG Harnesses
The TE Connectivity MTA-156 3-641437-3 is a 3-position IDC plug that mass-terminates 22 AWG discrete or ribbon cable without stripping or crimping. The 0.156" (3.96 mm) pitch is the series standard — wide enough for a clean IDC slot layout and a positive lock with the matching MTA-156 receptacle housing. The closed-end design prevents wire push-through past the last contact, a detail that matters when the harness is built on a fixture and the wire stop is the only thing keeping the first conductor in place.
Tin Plating at 80.0 µin — Harness Duty, Not High-Cycle
For applications that need hundreds of matings, the same MTA-156 series offers gold-plated variants; the tin here is a fit for a fixed harness that stays mated.
The free-hanging, right-angle orientation means the cable exits at 90° to the plug face, useful for routing the harness flat against a panel or into a tight enclosure. No board footprint is needed; the IDC termination and the latch lock are the only retention.
