IDC termination means the 24 AWG wire is pressed into the slot, displacing insulation to make contact — no crimp tool, no terminal strip. The housing accepts discrete wires or ribbon cable, making it a flexible choice for both point-to-point wiring and mass-terminated ribbon harnesses. The closed end prevents the IDC slot from being exposed at the rear of the housing.
