3-Position IDC Receptacle for Discrete or Ribbon Cable

The TE Connectivity MTA-156 3-643819-3 is a 3-position IDC receptacle designed for free-hanging (in-line) termination of 22 AWG discrete or ribbon cable. The 0.156" (3.96mm) pitch is wider than the common 0.100" IDC format, giving more room per wire for hand-loading or automated harness assembly. The closed-end housing prevents the wire from pushing through the back of the connector during insertion — a common rework cause in IDC builds. A polarizing key on the housing ensures the mating header is oriented correctly before the locking ramp engages.

Tin Plating at 80.0µin — Built for IDC Wipe

For an IDC termination, the insulation-displacement slot wipes the tin surface on insertion.
