MTA-100 3-Position IDC Receptacle — 3-643828-3
The 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch matches standard MTA-100 headers and ribbon conductor spacing — pitch has to match the ribbon or you'll slice between conductors. The closed-end housing and black colour are standard for this series.
This receptacle accepts 26 AWG wire, either as discrete strands or ribbon cable, terminated via IDC — no stripping, just a press. The 0.100" pitch means the IDC slots align with every conductor on standard 0.100" pitch ribbon; watch pin-one every press, as the closed end blocks one side. For discrete wire, the single-row layout and locking ramp make it a clean fit for low-circuit-count harnesses where a quick, reliable termination is needed.
Mates with standard MTA-100 headers (0.100" pitch, square pin). This gives vibration resistance for applications like appliance control boards or sensor harnesses where the connector sees movement. The 3-position count is common for small signal or power taps — confirm the mating header has the same position count and pin-out.
