MTA-100 4-Position IDC Receptacle
The 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch matches the standard MTA-100 header footprint, and the tin-plated female sockets (80.0µin / 2.03µm thickness) are suited for moderate-cycle harness applications where signal-level current is the norm. The closed-end design (black housing) prevents stubbing during cable insertion and keeps the IDC slots aligned for consistent termination. Bulk packaging suits low-to-mid volume harness builds where individual handling is preferred over tape-and-reel feeding.
IDC termination eliminates the need for a separate crimp tool — the 24 AWG wire is pressed into the insulation-displacement slots as the cover is seated. The 24 AWG wire gauge is the specified size; the connector is not rated for 22 AWG without a different MTA-100 variant. The free-hanging or right-angle mounting option means the cable can exit inline with the header or turn 90° at the connector face, useful when routing into a tight enclosure corner.
