Termination and Wire Handling — IDC for Speed
The feed-through feature allows daisy-chaining multiple receptacles on the same wire run without cutting the cable — useful for distributed sensor or power taps in a harness.
Tin plating at 80.0µin (2.03µm) is a heavy-duty finish suited for moderate mating cycles — typically 25 to 50 cycles in a harness that isn't regularly disconnected. For higher reconnect duty, the gold-plated variants in the MTA-100 family are a better fit. The locking ramp adds vibration resistance once mated, so the tin interface stays stable under light mechanical shock.
