MTA-100 Plug for 22 AWG Ribbon or Discrete Cable
The 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch matches the standard MTA-100 header footprint, and the closed-end design prevents stubbing on the header during mating. The latch holder locks the plug to the mating header, holding the connection under vibration — useful in industrial control cabinets or automotive interior harnesses where the cable sees movement.
7 Positions at 0.100" Pitch — BOM Fit Check
The 7-position count is the first thing to match against your BOM line. The 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch is the same across the entire MTA-100 family, so the board footprint for the mating header is standard. The 3-647000-6 is the 6-position sibling — same pitch, same termination, same latch, same tin plating, same red colour. If your circuit count is 7, this is the one; if it's 6, step down to the -6.

Mates with MTA-100 Headers
This plug mates with any standard MTA-100 header — through-hole or surface-mount, straight or right-angle — at the same 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch. For a 7-position header, look for the matching TE base number 640445 or 640456 series (depending on orientation and mounting).
