What this Termi-Foil terminal is for
The 329860-1 is a double-face foil terminal from TE's Termi-Foil series, designed to terminate 14-16 AWG wire to a foil conductor. The tin-plated copper contact crimps onto both sides of the foil — the 0.408" x 0.454" crimp area gives you enough surface to carry current without a hot joint, as long as the crimp tool is set right.
Wire gauge and crimp area fit
Rated for 14-16 AWG wire, the terminal accepts solid or stranded copper. The foil crimp area measures 0.408" x 0.454" (10.36mm x 12.80mm) — match that against your foil width before ordering; a foil narrower than the crimp area leaves exposed contact edges. Overall length is 0.672" (17.07mm), which sets the clearance you need in the enclosure or along the busbar run.
