Crimp termination and insulation grip
The 35451 is the 16-22 AWG member of TE's Plasti-Grip ring terminal line, terminated by crimp for free-hanging in-line service. The tin-plated copper contact carries the current; the PVC insulation sleeve covers the crimp barrel and a portion of the wire insulation, with an insulation diameter range of 0.115" to 0.170". Serrated inner barrel grips the conductor during crimp, reducing pull-out risk compared to a smooth bore.
Dimensions and stud fit
The ring accepts a #10 stud; overall length is 0.809" and the outer edge width is 0.281". Material thickness at the ring is 0.031" — the same as the Solistrand non-insulated terminals 1377172-7 and 1377172-9, but those are uninsulated and accept 14-16 AWG, not 16-22 AWG.
