6 AWG non-insulated butt splice
The 36886 is a 6 AWG non-insulated butt splice from the TE Connectivity AMP Solistrand series, designed for inline splicing of two wire ends with a single crimp operation. The brazed seam construction provides a closed barrel that resists splitting during crimping, and the tin-plated copper body accepts 6 AWG stranded or solid wire.

The brazed seam barrel eliminates the open-seam gap found in standard butt splices, which reduces the risk of wire strand hang-up during insertion and produces a more uniform crimp profile. Non-insulated design means the installer must add heat-shrink or tape for insulation after crimping; the bare barrel is rated for the full current capacity of 6 AWG wire in dry environments.
