Five-Circuit Barrier Strip for Panel Wiring
The TE Connectivity Buchanan 3PCV-05-006 is a 5-circuit barrier strip from the #3 series, designed for point-to-point wiring in control panels, power distribution blocks, and industrial equipment.
Wire Sizing and Termination
It accepts 18-22 AWG wire, covering the range most common for control circuits, sensors, and low-power distribution.
Ratings and Duty
The three-wall (tri) barrier design between terminals gives extra creepage distance and physical isolation, which helps prevent accidental shorts when a screwdriver slips during wiring. Operating temperature goes to 120°C, so it handles the heat inside a sealed enclosure without derating.
Position Counts Across the Series
The 3PCV-05-006 sits at 5 circuits in the #3 Buchanan series, with the same 0.250" pitch, 10 A rating, and tri-barrier construction shared across the line. The 3PCV-04-006 gives you 4 circuits for a smaller board footprint, while the 3PCV-06-006 adds a sixth position if the BOM needs one more wire entry. All use the same PC pin footprint and wire range, so swapping between them only changes the strip length on the board.
