14-Position IDC Receptacle for 18 AWG Discrete Wire
The TE Connectivity MTA-156 4-640426-4 is a 14-circuit, single-row IDC receptacle designed for mass-termination of 18 AWG discrete wire. The 0.156" (3.96 mm) pitch matches the standard MTA-156 header footprint, making it a direct wire-to-board interconnect for power distribution or signal harnesses in appliances, HVAC, and industrial controls. The closed-end housing prevents wire over-insertion, and the orange colour aids visual line identification on the harness board.
This speeds harness assembly and reduces inventory of loose contacts. The free-hanging (in-line) mount suits it for cable-to-board runs where the receptacle floats on the wire bundle.
Contacts are tin-plated with a thickness of 80.0 µ" (2.03 µm). The thick finish provides better corrosion resistance than a flash coating, relevant for non-sealed environments with moderate humidity.
