MTA-156 IDC Receptacle, 10 Positions, 0.156" Pitch
The TE Connectivity MTA-156 4-640429-0 is a 10-position, single-row IDC receptacle designed for mass-terminating discrete or ribbon cable. The 0.156" (3.96mm) pitch gives enough spacing for 24 AWG wire routing without forcing a wide connector footprint on the board edge. A closed-end housing prevents wire over-insertion, and the locking ramp provides positive retention against cable pull in mated assemblies.
No stripping or crimping is needed per wire, which speeds harness assembly.
For applications requiring frequent disconnect or exposure to humidity, a gold-plated variant of the MTA-156 receptacle would be the better fit.
