IDC Termination and Wire Preparation
This receptacle terminates 26 AWG solid or stranded wire via IDC slots — no stripping or crimping required. For ribbon cable, the slot spacing matches the 0.100" pitch, allowing mass termination in a single press operation.
This fastening type is rated for repeated mate/unmate cycles in field-serviceable assemblies. The closed-end design also prevents the receptacle from being pushed onto a header with too many pins, protecting both connector and PCB.
