MTA-100 IDC Receptacle, 13 Circuits, 0.100" Pitch
The TE Connectivity 4-643814-3 is a 13-position MTA-100 receptacle, designed for mass-termination of discrete or ribbon cable using IDC contacts. The closed-end housing prevents wire insertion from the wrong side, which saves a rework step on the assembly line.
IDC Termination and Wire Gauge
This receptacle terminates 24 AWG wire via IDC — the insulation is displaced as the contact is pressed into the housing, so no stripping or crimping is needed.
Mates with the standard MTA-100 header (unshrouded, 0.100" pitch, same position count). For a right-angle cable exit, the receptacle can be mounted at the board edge with the header oriented to match.
