IDC Termination & Wire Range
This receptacle is designed for 22 AWG wire only — the IDC slot width and insulation displacement blades are sized for that single gauge. The wire type can be discrete or ribbon cable; the IDC termination pierces the insulation and makes contact without stripping or crimping.
Mating & Compatibility
The 4-644540-0 mates with the standard MTA-100 header (straight or right-angle, through-hole or surface-mount). The 0.100" pitch and single-row layout are consistent across the MTA-100 series, so any 10-position MTA-100 header with the same latch geometry will work.
