What the ZIF and slide lock mean on the line
Zero Insertion Force (ZIF) means the FFC slides into the open actuator without bending the contacts. The slide lock then clamps the cable — the locking feature holds the FFC in place against vibration and cable tug during handling. The actuator and housing are both black thermoplastic, which helps visual inspection of the latch position.
