What This 2-Circuit Barrier Block Does on the Board
The Buchanan 4DB-R108-02 is a 2-circuit barrier block from the 4DB series, terminated at the board through right-angle PC pins. The 0.325" (8.26 mm) pitch gives enough space between terminals to land 12 AWG stranded wire without the insulation crowding the adjacent screw. Rated 20 A per circuit at 150 V, it handles low-voltage DC power feeds or control signal pairs inside an industrial cabinet — not line-voltage mains. The dual-wall barrier isolates each circuit and stops a stray strand from shorting across to the neighbour.
Wiring It: Screw Termination and Wire Range
Top termination is a screw with a captive plate — the plate stays captured under the screw head even when fully loosened, so you don't lose it during a field rewire. Accepts 12-22 AWG solid or stranded; the steel screw with zinc clear chromate finish torques down without galling the wire.
Where It Lives: Panel Cabinet and Temperature Range
The 2-circuit format is a common fit for a single sensor power pair or an actuator return line on a DIN-rail-mounted PCB.
