3-Position IDC Plug for Ribbon Cable Harnesses
The closed-end housing prevents the cable from pushing through during termination, giving a clean stop for the wire bundle.
IDC termination means the connector is pressed onto the ribbon cable in one operation — no wire stripping, no crimping individual terminals. The 22-26 AWG range covers the common ribbon cable gauges used for internal signal wiring in card-edge and D-sub breakout applications. Tin is the right choice here: the mating half is also tin-plated, so there is no galvanic mismatch, and the cost stays down for a production harness.
