IDC Plug for Discrete Wire Harnesses
The TE AMPMODU MTE 5-103945-9 is a 10-position IDC plug designed for mass-termination to discrete 22-26 AWG wire without pre-stripping.
Wire Gauge and Termination Fit
The IDC termination accepts 22-26 AWG discrete wire — the slot geometry is sized to pierce the insulation and make contact with the conductor in one press operation. The 0.100" pitch leaves enough room for a hand or bench press tool to terminate all 10 positions in a single stroke. Gold plating on the pins resists corrosion in the unmated state, which matters for field-service harnesses that sit on the shelf before installation.
Mating and Fastening
The free-hanging (in-line) mounting means the plug terminates a cable end, not a board edge, so the harness routes to the header location.
