10-Position IDC Plug for 0.100" Ribbon Cable
The TE 5-103946-9 is a 10-position IDC plug from the AMPMODU MTE series, designed for mass-termination to 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch ribbon cable. It accepts 22-26 AWG wire and terminates via the IDC slot — no wire stripping, no individual crimp, just a one-pass press with the right tool. Black housing, single row, free-hanging (in-line) mount.
The IDC termination is the key assembly step — the ribbon cable is laid across the slot row and the cover is pressed down, driving each conductor into its bifurcated beam contact. No solder, no crimp terminals. The closed-end feature means the cable stops at the back of the housing, so the conductors are fully enclosed and the assembly is strain-relieved at the cable entry.
