Wiring and Termination — IDC Process Constraints
This is an IDC (insulation displacement) termination — the wire is pressed into a slot that cuts through the insulation and grips the conductor. It works only with discrete (individual) wires, not ribbon cable. The 22-26 AWG range covers typical signal-level wiring for control and sensor harnesses. Because the IDC contact cold-flows around the wire, the connection is gas-tight and corrosion-resistant without solder. The trade-off is that re-termination is not practical — once the wire is seated, it stays.
Mating and Compatibility
This receptacle mates with AMPMODU MTE 0.100" pitch headers of the same 5-position, single-row layout.
For a 5-position IDC receptacle at 0.100" pitch, this is a standard BOM line that should be straightforward to source for production or repair runs.
